Solving the Problem

Opportunity: The University of Florida campus does not have good options for getting food on the weekends. This is because of limited hours and even some places closing entirely on the weekends. This causes students to have to choose from a limited selection of places, or even wander off campus to other places.

Solution: What the university can do is talk to the restaurants about their limited hours and closings and see if they can get them to open on the weekends. Even finding more convenient times to be open would be great for the University because it would bring more people on campus and bring in more revenue for the university and the eateries.

  1. Nathan, I agree this is a problem. As a student if you are paying for a meal plan I feel like you should be able to use it. By limiting the hours and overall options on the weekend our University is forcing students to spend even more money outside of what they have already accounted for. Hopefully this is an issue that the University can look into and try to help the students out if possible.

  2. Hey Nathan, you make a really good point about how on dining on campus can be frustrating due to the fact that the hours are less than optimal for students living on campus. I lived on campus last year and during the summer it was difficult to eat anywhere besides Chomp It late at night. I agree that students living on campus suffer the most from the inconsistent hours.
